ROAD TO RECON 2019 was held on March 9, 2019 at the Hotel Nikko Guam's Tasi Ballroom. The event marked the first Kai Productions event since RECON 2016. Almost 500 participants took part in the the debut of the Anime Challenge Bowl, Name That Tune & Wrappers Delight. Finally, the highly anticipated Super Secret Special Announcement So Stay Until the End was revealed to be the announcement that world-renowned Japanese cosplayer, REIKA, would be coming to Guam for RECON 2019.
